Frequently Asked Questions
This page offers a starting place for understanding my books and the ways you can engage with my work. Whether you are exploring Integration Alchemy®, The Mother Ache, individual integration support, or simply discerning your next step, these questions are here to offer clarity.
What is Integration Alchemy®?
In my book Integration Alchemy: The Real Ceremony Is Your Life, I explore integration as the lived, embodied process of bringing insight into daily life. It supports the gradual translation of psychedelic experiences, spiritual openings, meditation, retreat, and other transformative experiences into grounded and sustainable ways of living.
This work emphasizes embodiment, nervous-system awareness, meditation, and relational presence. Integration unfolds over time as we learn to live what has been revealed.
What do you mean by “the mother ache”?
In The Mother Ache: Healing the Wounded Daughter Within, I use the term “mother ache” to name the longing that lives beneath the mother wound and many of the patterns women carry into adult life. These may include self-doubt, overgiving, perfectionism, difficulty receiving care, emotional disconnection, and uncertainty about our own needs.
The book explores mother-daughter healing through embodied practices, relational awareness, and feminine archetypes. The journey invites us to understand what shaped us, restore self-trust, and recover the parts of ourselves we once left behind.
How do I know which book is the right doorway?
Integration Alchemy may be the right starting place if you are integrating a psychedelic or plant medicine experience, spiritual opening, meditation retreat, or significant life transition.
The Mother Ache may speak to you if you feel drawn to explore the mother wound, mother-daughter patterns, emotional inheritance, inner-child healing, feminine archetypes, boundaries, or belonging.
The two paths often meet. Both books explore how insight becomes embodied and how healing takes root in everyday life.
Do you offer individual sessions?
Yes. I offer a limited number of individual integration sessions for people seeking grounded support after psychedelic, plant medicine, retreat, or other transformative experiences.
Sessions are offered by inquiry and are often most effective as a short series of three sessions over three to six weeks. Our work may draw from Compassionate Inquiry®, nervous-system regulation, meditation, breath awareness, and somatic presence.
Do you offer group work?
I periodically offer reader conversations, meditation gatherings, and embodied practice groups related to the themes of my books. These offerings are announced through my newsletter when they become available.
Is this work therapy or medical treatment?
No. My work does not replace psychotherapy, medical care, crisis support, or licensed psychedelic-assisted treatment. It is a trauma-informed, somatic, and contemplative approach that can complement professional mental-health or medical care when appropriate.
Anyone experiencing acute distress should seek qualified medical or mental-health support.
How can I stay connected or learn more?
You are welcome to explore my books, read the short reflections on this website, and subscribe for occasional writing and updates about upcoming events.
