Living the Year

— 2026

Monthly Themes, Distillations & Invocations

In 2026, I am living the year through one embodied theme each month. Rather than a calendar or plan, this page offers an orientation—a way of moving through the year with presence, coherence, and care. Each theme is an invitation to listen, reflect, and stay connected to what is unfolding, both within and in relationship to the world around us.

While these themes appear throughout my books and teachings, they are not offered here as a linear path or prescribed order. Like the cycles of nature—our most patient teacher—they are living inquiries we return to in different ways and at different times.

January — Listening for the True Yes

Distillation:
We begin the year not by pushing forward, but by listening for what is quietly asking to be lived.

Invocation:
May I begin by listening—allowing what is true to reveal itself before I act.

February — Returning to the Inner Hearth

Distillation:
As seeds begin to stir beneath the frozen earth, February invites a gentle awakening. We turn inward with warmth while allowing movement to arise naturally—beginning again through slow, embodied motion.

Invocation:
May I listen for what is stirring within me, and move with warmth, trust, and care.

February Offerings — Movement and Stillness
Throughout February, I’ll be offering meditation as a way to gently support what is beginning to stir. On Wednesdays at noon, we’ll gather for a movement-based meditation (dance as medicine). On Sundays at 10:00 am, we’ll meet for a one-hour seated meditation supported by music. Both practices are designed to restore connection, warmth, and embodied presence.
If you’d like to join—in person or online—please email me directly for details.

March — Preparing the Ground

Distillation:
Growth begins beneath the surface. As we tend the inner ground with presence and care, strong roots form before new life appears.

Invocation:
May I stay with what I feel long enough for understanding to arise.

March Practices & Offerings

March invites gentle movement, clearing, and renewal as we transition toward spring. This month’s practices support releasing stagnation, reconnecting with the body, and creating space for new energy to emerge.

Offerings include:

Nataraj Dance Meditation — Wednesdays at noon (March 4, 11, 18)
Movement as meditation, allowing energy to flow freely through the body.

Embodied Practice Lab — March 14 & 28
A space for presence, breath, and integration in real time.

No Mind Meditation Intensive — March 21–27
Co-facilitating a week of dynamic meditation and emotional clearing through sound, movement, and silence.

Together, these practices invite us to nurture the inner soil so that growth may arise naturally in the months ahead.

April — The Body as Wise Companion

Distillation:
Rather than overriding the body, we begin to trust its subtle cues and innate intelligence.

Invocation:
May I honor the body as an ally, trusting its quiet intelligence.

May — Weaving Body and Mind

Distillation:
Integration unfolds as body and mind enter into dialogue, shaping a more coherent whole.

Invocation:
May my body and mind move into conversation, shaping a more integrated way of being.

June — Choosing from Within

Distillation:
Agency is reclaimed through small, embodied choices rooted in inner alignment rather than habit or fear.

Invocation:
May my choices emerge from inner alignment rather than conditioning or urgency.

July — The Courage to Be Guided

Distillation:
True courage arises when we trust inner guidance more than external approval.

Invocation:
May I trust the guidance that comes from within, even when it asks me to stand apart.

August — Rest as a Form of Strength

Distillation:
Resilience deepens when we honor the body’s need for rest, rhythm, and gentleness.

Invocation:
May I allow rest to restore me, knowing strength grows through care.

September — Letting Life Move Through You

Distillation:
Creativity returns when we loosen control and allow life’s energy to express itself through us.

Invocation:
May I soften my grip and allow life to move freely through me.

October — Training the Mind to See Clearly

Distillation:
Clarity emerges as we observe our thoughts and patterns with curiosity rather than judgment.

Invocation:
May I meet my mind with awareness, steadiness, and compassion.

November — The Practice of Mutuality

Distillation:
Healing deepens when giving and receiving come back into balance within and beyond ourselves.

Invocation:
May I give and receive in balance, honoring the flow of relationship.

December — Living in Right Relationship

Distillation:
Wholeness is found in honoring what has been lived and standing in reverent relationship with our path.

Invocation:
May I stand in reverent relationship with what has been woven, learned, and lived.
